This is a sitcom I have heard about from the discussion board in ptt. After watching the first episode just this evening, I could see why people say How I Met Your Mother can compete with the long-lasting Friends with its fresh humor, maybe even exceeds it. The main plot is about a father has decided to tell his children how he met their mother. The narrator, Ted, was getting anxious about his best friend(Marshall) was going to engaged with his long-term girlfriend, Lily. Ted felt like that he should set out to find his true love as soon as possible.

Anyway, I think I have kind of obsessed with this new(maybe not that new, the first season was published in 2005) comedy, and this maybe also a good opertunity to practice my listening ability. If you have watched this sitcom as well, please feel free to discuss with me:)

“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Pais is a moveable feast.”

“If I could open my arms and span the length of the isle of Manhattan

I’d bring it to where you are, making a lake of the East River and Hudson

If I culd open my mouth wide enough for a marching band to march out

They would make you name sing and bend through alleys and bounce of all the buildigs.”

Just like the lyrics, though my favorite song of this album is “I Will Follow You into the Dark” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfBw0IWwO5U&mode=related&search=)
